“Before you tell your life what you intend to do with it, Before you tell your life what truths and values you have decided to live up to, let your life tell you what truths you embody, what values you represent.” ~ Parker J. Palmer
WHAT ARE CLIENTS SAYING?
"I recently took a half day personal retreat with Jennifer in hopes of clarifying my vocational vision, making some key decisions, and getting to a strong, centered place. Through her excellent listening skills, intuition, powerful questions and creative ideas, my expectations were exceeded. Thanks Jennifer, I look forward to continuing to work with you!" ~ Leif
"I'm so thrilled to return to my art. Jennifer helped me get it out there and I'm so grateful. She provided me a way to visualize my life with beauty, purpose and meaning--for pay! I really feel like I have a sense of belonging. I feel open and excited to learn what is next and, in the mean time, enjoy what is here." ~ AnnMarie

Manlowe has discovered that as clients work on their "personal growth" in vocational and professional matters, they also request ways they might work on their "spiritual" growth. She says, "When you think about it, the term vocation comes from the Latin word vocare ('to call')--and discerning this call feels like a great mystery to most of us."
Because Manlowe has been both student and teacher of "centering prayer" and "mindfulness meditation," she speaks from the experience of one who values doing whatever it takes to "still the mind" and "listen for inner-wisdom." Manlowe draws from a variety of traditions (as a former professor of world philosophies and religions); "However," she says, "I will never force my spiritual views onto another person."
If you ask Jennifer about religious issues, she will be most comfortable encouraging you to develop your spirituality in your own way. Manlowe delights in offering suggestions as to reading, perhaps she will share names of local meeting halls, churches and temples where she believes there is likely to be no coercion. "But, most important," Manlowe says, "I ask clients to search within to uncover what kind of community and support they need in order to deepen their own intuition for what is true."

"Your profession is not what brings home your paycheck. Your profession is what you were put on earth to do with such passion and such intensity that itbecomes spiritual in calling." ~ Vincent Van Gogh
